The Fiber Art Biennal “Trame d’Autore” was created by City of Chieri in order to bring the attention of the public, through the work of international artists, on his high quality and ancient textile tradition.

Since 1998, with the first edition, we began a dialogue with fiber artists from all over the world. It continued through the years alterning the Biennal exhibition, in the restructured industrial archaeological site of the Imbiancheria del Vajro, and Artists’ Monographic exhibitons, in XIIth century Opesso Palace.

At this moment we are revisioning the rules to take part to the event, together with a plan that is meant to renew the “Trame d’Autore” project, to put in first place textile materials from Chieri as ways for artistic expression and to increase the importance of the Civical Collection of Fiber Art.

In autumn 2005 the new project will be ready and it will be published on this site.
