PALAZZO OPESSO
Built in the fourteenth century the complex belonged to a family of the local aristocracy: the Mercadillo. During a recent intervention, directed towards the creation of the current Civic Tunnel, they were found and restored three mullioned window with frame in cooked decorated that goes back at the fifteenth century. After the decadence of the Mercadillo, the palace became the habitation of the Opesso family, which the property kept thin at the eighteenth century which the property kept thin at the eighteenth century, when the council of Chieri bought it to fit it to jail, function which kept up to 1960. A new reorganization project aiming to the total recovery is going on. |
